The Utah FOP is a member of the Western States FOP Coalition. 

Our primary goal is to identify the needs and goals of our members, and to find ways to solve those needs with better communications. We strive to promote the goals of the FOP in the west, as we act as one body, in our efforts to facilitate those goals. The creation of this web site is one of our recent efforts to improve the communications between our membership. There is a tremendous amount of expansion potential in the west, and in order to better serve both our existing members, and to reach potential members we are finding various ways to improve our communications with them. 

Our association is open to FOP State Lodges, west of the Mississippi River, and was orginially formed on September 7, 1978.  Full membership rights are also available to representatives of active lodges west of the Mississippi River, where a state lodge does not exist.
