"Building on a Proud Tradition"

Membership in the FOP is an exlusive honor for this profession. We are an organization of cops, from the top down. We are not a traditional labor union, so your dues money does not get funneled to AFL-CIO organizations that fight us on making assault on police officers a felony offense. We stand alone, on behalf of issues that are critical to the profession. While we will try and work with other organizations on important legislation, we do not back down when it comes to protecting our chosen profession. We are not beholden to any political party, or outside organization. The honor and dedication of being a cop is enhanced when you belong to the FOP.
From our Constitution & By Laws about who may join:
Section 1. No person shall be admitted to membership in a subordinate lodge except a regularly appointed or elected, full-time employed, law enforcement officer of the United States, the State of Utah or a political subdivision thereof, to perform law enforcement work in the State of Utah. No person shall be denied membership on account of race, religion, color, creed, sex, or national origin.
If you will go to the tab "Local Lodges" and find the lodge that serves your jurisdiction and check their contact info, that will help put you in contact with the correct lodge. For example, if you work for Department of Corrections, you would select "Corrections Lodge #14" on the tab. On their page is a link to be able to sign up. If the lodge you want to join doesn't have any contact information, send an email to: membership@utahfop.com.
